Introduction:

A composite program under Targeted Intervention (TI) was implemented at Ukhrul Headquarters and Kasom Kl Block with a given target of 150 FSWs and 200 IDUs. It may be noted that the FSW program covers all the localities of Ukhrul Town whereas; the IDU program spreads among only 13 villages of Kasom Block. This programme was supported by Manipur State AIDS Control Society (MSACS) under National AIDS Control Organization (NACO). The programme was implemented with an objective to reduce harm and prevent HIV transmission from the high risk groups by providing educative measures on safer practices and providing related Services.
